New Technology Can Help to Prevent Alzheimers

There are a lot of articles out there that point to the ability of brain exercises as a way to prevent Alzheimer's. I know for myself, the most important way I keep my brain active is through the use of technology. Whether it's reading a great blog post or listening to a podcast, technology keeps my brain in full gear. It's certainly better than TV. I think my brain is actually least activity when sitting in front of the TV. Unfortunately, this is exactly what many seniors are left to do. With decreased mobility and an unfamiliarity with other kinds of technology, many seniors spend hours watching the tube. I know my Grandma does.

I hope that this site can unlock more forms of technology to the senior population. I hope more seniors will start listening to podcasts, reading more online articles, and start playing video games. That's right video games. The Nintendo Wii is catching on fast as a great way for seniors to get some exercise, increase brain activity, and in turn, help to prevent the onset of Alzheimer's.
